Eloping is a big thing right now. Not that many couples actually chose to do it but due to current circumstances, elopements are happening a lot right now. Personally, I think its a great thing!

Eloping is a beautiful way to strip your wedding down to reveal what it truly means. And by that I mean all that mushy stuff that sometimes gets forgotten about with the stress of planning a big wedding with all the bells and whistles.

It’s just you and your love. No weird family dynamics to navigate, no uncomfortable conversations to explain why you won’t be inviting the uncle you haven’t seen since you were 4 and no exhausting mingling for an entire day. There’s none of that. Instead you can focus on your love for your fiancĂ© and why you want to embark on this beautiful journey together.

Paddington Reservoir is one of those not-so-hidden gems in Sydney literally on the side of the main road Oxford Street. Entering the sunken reservoir, the cars and buses disappear and you’re greeted by a beautiful, antique feeling garden complete with its very own pool of water. It’s like a smaller version of The Secret Garden which takes me back to my childhood love of magic and exploring.

So of course, I HAD to shoot there (and will shoot there any chance I get) and my goodness what a shoot it was!

Teaming up with The Wedding Boutique featuring a stunning creation by Jennifer Go Bridal, Buds and the Bees for florals, Cat Heaphy MUA and Carl Thomas Hair – this shoot was a total dream!
